Man behind the Transient Home Celebrates 25 Years in Service
by: Robert Clarita Jr.
Pampanga, Philippines (11.29.08) – “Whatever our condition in life, through persecutions, vexations and tribulations, we hope to continue our service to the Lord.” Brother Daniel “Kuya” Razon, Vice Presiding Minister of the Members Church of God, International (MCGI), tearfully said before the congregation on today`s Thanksgiving.

Kuya Daniel, the man behind the recently-opened Kamanggagawa Foundation Transient Home, celebrates his 25th year anniversary of receiving baptism as well as his fruitful years of service in the Ministry last November 28.

Mr. Public Service, as he is equally known outside the Church of God, co-founded the very first free Transient Home in the Philippines, which was inaugurated on October 27. The project was initiated by Bro. Eli Soriano, MCGI Presiding Minister, who had Kuya Daniel supervise its construction.

Prior to the Transient Home project, many charitable works and public services were already being rendered by the endearing host of Good Morning Kuya. These services include Libreng Sakay (Free Bus Ride), Free MRT tickets for Senior Citizens, free medical check-ups and legal consultations, and various feeding programs in the depressed areas of Metro Manila.

Kuya Daniel addresses the country’s socio-economic problem through benevolence and application of his spiritual credence through Bro. Eli’s guidance. He serves the public in the true meaning of “public service,” rather than wasting time reacting to defamations brought by his enemies.

Some media personalities tint a different light to his meritorious service, but he addresses this in the Christian approach. Like what he stated, “…through persecutions, vexations and tribulations, we hope to continue our service to the Lord.”

Kuya Daniel’s public service program Good Morning Kuya in UNTV continuously airs live for over a year now, rendering true public services the show is famous for. He also announced to the congregation attending the Thanksgiving today that another Transient Home in Pampanga, which would be wider than the first one, is currently being constructed.

“I thank God for all His love; I cannot mention everything.” – Robert Clarita Jr.
