What is Kaanib.net?
This is the online community site of the Members Church of God International (MCGI) which packs news, features and other Christian-oriented content to inspire and bind members with the use of the web. Non-brethren visitors are given chance to peek at what makes us united and why we are fun-to-be-with. For further information, proceed to About Us section.

What does "Kaanib" means and why is this site called Kaanib.net?
You may not be a Filipino to ask this question! But kidding aside, the word "kaanib" is a Filipino term which means "a member" in the English language. A person who wishes to be a "kaanib" or a member of the Church of God must be baptized. (Visit our Church website, at www.angdatingdaan.org, for further information about us).

Our organization is called Members Church of God International (Mga Kaanib Iglesia ng Dios Internasyunal). It is here where we derive the name of this site, Kaanib.net. This way, our online Christian community will have a unique, mesmerizing interaction and web experience through photo sharing, posting of literary and testimonials, among others.

Why should I register?
In order to fully utilize the abilities of Kaanib.net, the web administrators require that all bona fide members of MCGI register. Read further below

I am a registered member of Kaanib.net and I have been given a Kaanib.net account, yet when I login, I was denied access to this site or the message "login failed" appears. Why is this so?
Before we answer your question, let us ask you one: When were you given the Kaanib.net account? If your answer is before August 15, 2005 then you are left behind by the wave of the turnout of developments and enhancements that unfolded in terms of your use of this site.

We are sure you noticed the new look and design structure, including the navigation. That is not all, we also overhauled and revamped the former system for accepting or approving online users of the site and this affected all registered members before August 15, 2005.

Security reasons and other factors compelled us to reorganize the site's membership system. Please bear with us though. So, with your kind consideration, please re-register by filing out our Registration Form at the homepage which you can see at the left side arm of Kaanib.net. Anyway registration is fast, free and gives you a more interactive and enhanced use of our Christian community online like no other site can.

I already filled out and submitted the Registration Form for several times now, yet Kaanib.net keeps on denying my registration. I am pretty sure I inputted accurate and correct information both on the personal and Church side of it. Please tell me why this is so.
We are sorry for the inconvenience it may cost you but please bear in mind that we, at Kaanib.net, ensures that only personal and Church information of a bonafide member which match on his/her Church profile in our computerized AMS will be assigned a Kaanib.net account.

Since you told us you accurately and correctly answered questions on this site's Registration Form, the closest reason, we believe, compelled us to deny you an account is that your filled-out Form did not match well with your Church profile encoded or indicated in the AMS database. Among the reasons may be: (1) misspelled words, and (2) wrong arrangement of numbers in dates of birth or baptism, among others.

Now it is your turn to approach your secretary to verify and confirm with the ADDCIT office if your data in the AMS database are correct or accurate. After arrangements were made, you can visit our site and sign up.

I signed-up to register for my account at Kaanib.net but I received an email informing me that it was not approved, saying that the information I entered in the sign-up form might not match the information in my AMS record.
How come I was denied when I am sure that I entered the correct information in the sign-up form? My locale secretary have already attested that my AMS record is complete and correct. Is there something I need to do to get my account approved by Kaanib.net? Why does registration have to be really that difficult?

One of the most common reasons your account is denied is because your member information at the AMS record does not match with the information you indicated when you answered the questions of the Kaanib.net registration form. Why? It may be because your AMS record is incomplete or it may contain wrong informations such as your Church ID number or member code, complete name, baptism date, date of your birth and other relevant information.

Remember that all registering brethren must pass this registration process to immediately screen and deny pretenders and impostors from having a "member-type" account in Kaanib.net. Not only that, you can benefit from this kind of registration because it could give you a hint if your AMS record is wrong; if it's so, you have to act and do the necessary actions to correct your AMS record. (Please see also the previous FAQ above)

What are the new features and services of Kaanib.net?
If you are not convinced enough, then read what we brewed inside the Kaanib.net Team Office for the past months in order to serve the online Christian Community better? Here are some of them:

  • Free registration for our online non-brethren guests to allow them experience and take a peek at some of the things we enjoy doing at the site. For security reasons, site accessibility for non-brethren is limited to viewing or reading our articles archives only.

  • Central log-in feature to services, sections and links of the site.

  • Expanded and bigger coverage of Church News since we opened the gate for news article submissions from the online community.

  • New sections and features are created to involve and to encourage members to participate in our online activities such as Literary, Music Gallery, and many more.

  • Introduction of our very own Kaanibster, our social network platform meant for the Christian Community.

  • And many more to come, God willing.

With the new Kaanib.net, what features and services are accessible by guest? How about the non-brethren who registered and a Church member who registered?
